On July 1, 2026 I will begin a new role as President of Deep Springs College.

From July 2023 through June 2026 I served as Associate Provost of Academic Affairs at Bucknell University. From January through May of 2023 I was Bucknell’s Interim Associate Provost for Research & Creative Inquiry. In the spring of 2020 I taught at Deep Springs College.  In the Fall of 2019 I was a visiting Scholar in the Demography Department at UC Berkeley. During the 2018-19 academic year I served as Interim Assistant Provost at Bucknell. From August 2013 through May 2018 I was Chair of the Bucknell Mathematics Department. During the 2009-2010 academic year, I was a guest researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research in Germany. From August 2006 through June of 2008, I served as Associate Dean of Faculty in Bucknell’s College of Arts and Sciences.
